Abstract

We explain the importance of religious dialogue in a plural society as different aspects of human life covering religion, culture, race and skin colour often led to a conflict. In the context of the relationship between religion, dialogue of faith becomes a medium for fostering unity in the life of multi-ethnic society. The early development of religious dialogue in the West aims to erode the bad perspective on Christianity. Various pro-active action have been done by Christians to be entrenched religious dialogue, especially in relations with the Muslim world. In the early stages, religious leaders only focus on the form of a formal dialogue. Dialogue of life be a choice in resolving issues involving the conflict between religion and culture in a multi-ethnic society. Through shared activities, dialogue of life can provide an understanding to multi-religious communities and cultures to respect, appreciate and tolerate each other.
