Ciri-Ciri Kepimpinan Melalui Ungkapan Melayu oleh Tenas Effendy

Abstract

Malay expression (Ungkapan Melayu) has its own genre and is created
from the past to the present. This genre is still kept alive, showing that it
is a constant genre that still remains intact till now. This genre proved
that the Malay society has the wisdom of composing meaningful words in
short, concise and precise sentences to express their intentions. We used
this genre as our compiled data to assess the leadership characteristic of
the Malay based on Malay expression by Tenas Effendy and this
characteristic is the main focus of our discussion. We found that the
Malay ecpression provide various perspectives are used to define
leadership, position, function, responsibility and characteristic of
prominent Malay leaders. Some of which have not been highlighted
before.
