Transformasi Amalan Perubatan Tradisional Melayu Perspektif Rukyah
Abstract
Pimitiae societies hnae traditionally subsuibed to the
belief of animism and dynamism to tht power and strength of spirit
and soul manifested in humnns, animnls, plants, things with good
or bad effects on humans. Oftrn, these groups belieae in the existence
of supernatural beings that can disrupt and frighten them. Malay
society before lslam came as other primitive people belierse that there
is enaironmental influences in their liaes. Subsequently, is led to
the belief of the importance of the relationship bettoeen humans and
nature in many aspects of life including health and wellness. This
paper will discuss nnd identify the transformation of practice of
rukyah (incantation) from animism and Hindu-Buddhist aesthetics
based on the practice of ruqyah based on the lslamic world aiew of
Tawhid (Oneness of God).
