Moving Light is a travel essay collection by a Malaysia Chinese writer, Wu Yanling which extend from classroom to outdoor activities. These collections recorded the people, event and things encountered by the authors while traveling or staycation at oversea. This article divided the discussions into two parts: life while traveling which is the author's pursuit of the travelling object; retrospective aspect of travel which is reflected in the author's thinking about the essence of life while traveling. Therefore, I will briefly discuss this collection of essays from the author's objective moving world and subjective introspective world. The significance and value of these travel essays will be explored through the author's contemplation of the meaning of travel and her insights into life. This will shed light on the deeper meaning and worth of the travelogue genre.
